Pam Redfeather: Chumash and Sioux two spirit artist
Ah HAH founder, Hollie Hirst, and board member, Dr Michelle Martinez, first met Pam and their family in the late 1990’s in a small Colorado mountain town. Hollie worked with Pam and many of their family members in a variety of restaurants where Hollie worked in front of the house and the Redfeathers worked the back of the house. Hollie and Pam became quite close, and their friendship survived thousand mile moves and decades of distance.
In 2020 Pam and Hollie were talking about Pam’s dreams of starting up their jewelry making business again. Pam needed some equipment and supplies to get started and Hollie offered them a grant to help them reach their goals. Even though Ah HAH Foundation had not yet come to fruition, Hollie valued Pam and their work and supported them by giving grants to purchase materials necessary for them to start their jewelry making business. This business helped to support Pam and their wife through the final years of Pam’s life, as they struggled with health issues. Pam passed in June of 2025, and we will be creating a scholarship in their memory to support Indigenous and LGBTQ businesses, cooperatives, and educational endeavors.
